What is the Female IPPT in Singapore?

The Female IPPT (Individual Physical Proficiency Test) is a yearly fitness test that female Regulars in the SAF, SPF, and SCDF must take. The test has three stations: bent-knee push-ups, sit-ups, and a 2.4km run. Your total score is out of 100 points, based on the official standards on ns.gov.sg.

So how is it different from the male IPPT calculator standards? Two things. Women do bent-knee push-ups instead of regular push-ups. And the 2.4km run timings are more relaxed for each age group. Sit-ups stay the same for everyone.

You’ll take the test at a Fitness Conditioning Centre (FCC) like Kranji Camp FCC or Bedok FCC. The ELISS sensor counts your reps automatically, so form matters. No proper rep, no count. Booking is done through the OneNS Portal, and scoring follows the official MINDEF 2026 tables.

Not sure if you even need to take this test? It depends on your service status here’s a quick breakdown below.

Who Needs to Take the Female IPPT?

Simple answer: only women serving as uniformed Regulars in Singapore — SAF, SPF, or SCDF — must take the Female IPPT every year. Civilian women don’t need to. SAFVC volunteers don’t need to either. Here’s how it works for each group.

SAF Female Regulars

If you’re a female Regular in the Singapore Armed Forces, IPPT is a must — once every year. Your format and timing depend on your age group and PES status. Results show up in your OneNS Portal.

SPF and SCDF Female Officers

Same deal for female officers in the Singapore Police Force and Singapore Civil Defence Force. Same three stations, same yearly requirement, same MINDEF scoring standards.

SAFVC Volunteers

This one confuses a lot of people. SAF Volunteer Corps members do not need to take IPPT. You can try it if you want — but there’s no pass requirement and no penalty if you skip it.

Civilian Women

No NS liability, no IPPT — simple as that. That said, many civilian women still use this calculator to test themselves against SAF standards. Nothing wrong with that.

Female IPPT Scoring Standards 2026

Knowing your target before you train is half the battle. The table below shows exactly how many bent-knee push-ups, sit-ups, and what 2.4km run timing you need at each age group to hit Gold — the highest award in the female IPPT. Standards are based on the official MINDEF scoring tables built into the calculator above, covering all 14 age groups from 18 to 60. Source: MINDEF female IPPT scoring tables.

These are your Gold targets — the benchmark most Servicewomen use to structure their training. Not aiming for Gold yet? No problem. Silver needs 75 points total and Pass needs 61. Use the calculator above to enter your actual reps and run time — it will instantly show your current score, your award level, and exactly how many more reps or seconds you need to reach the next tier.

The Three Stations of the Female IPPT

The Female IPPT has three stations: bent-knee push-ups, sit-ups, and a 2.4km run. The first two stations give you up to 25 points each. The run gives up to 50 points — half your total score. All three happen in one session at your FCC in Singapore. Here’s what to expect at each station.

Station 1 — Bent-Knee Push-Ups

You get 1 minute to do as many reps as you can, for a maximum of 25 points. Here’s the correct form: knees on the ground, back straight, chest lowered until it touches the fist-height marker, then push up until your elbows lock out.

At the FCC, the ELISS sensor counts your reps electronically. Half reps don’t count — if you don’t go low enough or don’t lock out at the top, the sensor skips it. That’s called a no-count, and it’s the #1 reason women score lower than expected.

Station 2 — Sit-Ups

Same standard as the male IPPT: 1 minute, maximum 25 points. Hands cupping your ears, elbows touch your knees at the top, shoulders touch the ground at the bottom.

Pacing tip: don’t rush the first 15 seconds. Find a steady rhythm you can hold for the full minute.

Station 3 — 2.4km Run

Six laps around a 400m track. This station is worth up to 50 points — the biggest chunk of your score. Run timings are female-calibrated, so you get more time than the male standards for the same points.

Pacing tip: don’t sprint the first lap. Hold a steady pace, then push hard in the last 800m. Most Servicewomen lose points by burning out early.

Female IPPT Passing Score & Award Levels 2026

The passing score for female IPPT in Singapore is 61 points out of 100 for Regulars in the SAF, SPF, and SCDF, with at least 1 point required at each station. Score 61–74 and you pass. Score 75–84 for Silver, which earns S$300. Score 85 and above for Gold — that’s S$500. And if you’ve seen 51 points quoted as the pass mark elsewhere — that applies to NSmen only, and since Servicewomen serve as Regulars, they’re held to the higher 61-point standard. These standards come from the official 2026 scoring tables published by MINDEF.

Here’s the full breakdown:

AwardPoints (Regulars)What You Get
FailBelow 61NS FIT sessions required
Pass61–74No cash incentive
Silver75–84S$300 cash incentive
Gold85–100S$500 cash incentive

Note: the 51-point pass mark you may see on other sites applies to NSmen — not to Servicewomen, who serve as Regulars.

One rule people often miss: the minimum 1 point per station requirement. Even if your run is strong enough to carry your total past 61, you still fail if you score zero at any single station. So don’t skip training your weakest station.

How to Use This Female IPPT Calculator

Using this female IPPT calculator takes less than 30 seconds. Enter your age group, your reps for both stations, and your 2.4km run time — your score, award level, and pass/fail status appear instantly. The calculator uses the official MINDEF 2026 scoring tables, so your result matches what you’d get at the FCC.

Here’s how:

  1. Select your age group — Select your age group from the dropdown.
  2. Enter your bent-knee push-up reps — how many you completed in 1 minute.
  3. Enter your sit-up reps — again, your 1-minute count.
  4. Enter your 2.4km run time — your total score and award level appear instantly.

But this calculator does more than just scoring. Three features you won’t find on any other IPPT calculator in Singapore:

  • Target Planner — Set your goal score (say, Silver at 75 points), and it shows exactly how many reps and what run time you need at each station.
  • Download Score Card — Save your result as an image. Share it with your buddies or keep it for records.
  • Attempt History — Every attempt is saved, so you can track your progress across training sessions.

Training for a specific award? Set it in the Target Planner first — then you’ll know exactly what to chase.

Female IPPT Training Tips

Want to improve your female IPPT score? Focus on three things: build push-up strength with your knees down, pace your sit-ups steadily, and train your 2.4km run with intervals. Most Servicewomen in Singapore gain 10–15 points within weeks just by training the right way. Here are quick tips for each station.

Bent-Knee Push-Ups

  • Build tricep and chest strength — they do most of the work in this movement.
  • Always train with your knees down, exactly like test conditions. Don’t practice regular push-ups and expect the reps to transfer.
  • Practice your lock-out at the top of every rep — that’s where the ELISS sensor catches no-counts.

Sit-Ups

  • Start slow in the first 15 seconds. Rushing early burns you out by the 40-second mark.
  • Keep a hollow body position — core tight, lower back controlled.
  • Exhale on the way up. It sounds small, but it keeps your rhythm steady.

2.4km Run

  • Do interval training twice a week — short fast runs with rest in between.
  • Never sprint the first lap. It’s the most common mistake at every FCC.
  • Save your energy for the last 800m — that’s where points are won.

Frequently Asked Questions About Female IPPT

Only female uniformed Regulars in the SAF, SPF, and SCDF must take the IPPT annually. Civilian women have no NS liability and no IPPT requirement. SAFVC volunteers are also exempt — they can attempt it voluntarily, but there’s no pass requirement or penalty.

For female Regulars in the SAF, SPF, and SCDF, the passing score is 61 points out of 100, with a minimum of 1 point at each of the three stations. The commonly quoted 51-point pass mark applies to NSmen only — Servicewomen serve as Regulars and are held to the 61-point standard. Scoring below 61 — or zero at any station — counts as a fail. These standards follow the official MINDEF 2026 scoring tables.

Generally yes — knees on the ground reduce the load on your upper body by roughly 30–40%. But the ELISS sensor still demands full range: chest down to the marker, elbows locked at the top. Poor form means no-counts, so “easier” doesn’t mean effortless.

Two differences: women do bent-knee push-ups instead of standard push-ups, and the 2.4km run timing brackets are more generous per age group. Sit-up standards, the 100-point total, award levels, and cash incentives are identical for both formats.

Officially, no — IPPT is conducted at FCCs for serving personnel only. Civilian women can’t book a test through the OneNS Portal. However, many use this free calculator to self-test against official SAF standards at their own gym or track.

A Servicewoman who fails must complete NS FIT sessions to rebuild fitness before her next attempt.

Book through the OneNS Portal — log in, select IPPT booking, and choose your preferred FCC (like Kranji Camp FCC or Bedok FCC) and time slot. Book early in your window; popular evening slots fill up fast.

Gold (85–100 points) earns S$500. Silver (75–84 points) earns S$300. A Pass (61–74 points) has no cash award. Source: ns.gov.sg.

The female IPPT scoring system uses 14 age categories — the same structure as the male format. Age Group 1 covers Servicewomen under 22, and the bands run in roughly 3-year steps (such as 22–24, 25–27, and 28–30) all the way up to Age Group 14 for ages 58–60. Each age group has its own rep and timing standards, so requirements ease as you get older.

No. NAPFA is a school fitness test with six stations, taken by students. IPPT is the SAF’s three-station test for serving personnel, scored out of 100 points. Passing NAPFA before enlistment affects male NS intake — it has no connection to female IPPT.

Yes. You can attempt IPPT multiple times within your annual window, and your best result counts. Many Servicewomen take an early attempt, review their weak stations, train, then retake. Use the Attempt History feature on this calculator to track improvement between attempts.

NS FIT is the SAF’s structured fitness programme for those who fail or skip IPPT. Yes, it applies to female Regulars — sessions are mandatory after a fail. Completing the required sessions fulfils your fitness obligation for that window.
